Alexis Liberovsky, the Archivist of the Orthodox Church in America (OCA), was visiting in Washington, DC to make a presentation on this subject at St Nicholas Cathedral on Saturday, November 20, 2010. The autocephaly of the OCA, in 1970 recognized by the Moscow Patriarchate, was a historic event in the life of the Church and is significant in the life of the OCA today. This presentation was organized by the Nation's Capital "R" Club and the Colonial District of the Fellowship of Orthodox Christians in America (FOCA). Lecture underwritten by the Michael Shandor Memorial Fund.
